Youth Endowment Funds
In 1999, the Prince George Community Foundation established a Youth Endowment Committee and Fund to support youth orientated programs and projects in the region. The committee is called the HYPE Council which stands for "Helping Youth Progress Endowment".
Today, we have youth representation on our Grants Adjudication Committee advising on projects and programs that benefit the youth of our city.
This Fund offers residents of the Prince George area a direct and secure way to provide an endowment for youth. All monies donated or pledged to the Youth Endowment fund will be deposited with the Community Foundation for accounting and investment purposes. Only the income earned by the endowment will be used to financially support youth oriented programs and projects.
Our Established Youth Endowment Funds include:
- Blair Family
- Moffat Family
- Paul Family
- Disadvantaged Youth
- John Backhouse Endowment
- Chris Winther Memorial
Consider making a one time gift, pledging a fixed yearly sum or directing the earned income from your family or business fund to the Youth Endowment Fund.
