 Duties and Responsibilities

 Reporting to the Office Manager,  the Accountant is responsible for the   following: 

  • Become familiar with Prince George Community Foundation software: Income Manager and Sage 50
  • Day to day entries and adjustments to Income Manager fund database and Sage 50 programs 
  • Manage and post payables and receivables 
  • Post monthly investment income, by fund, in PGCF software
  • Post and deposit donations and produce donor receipts
  • Produce and collate donor and fund information
  • Calculate amounts available to grant
  • Report annually, and as needed, to various fund holders
  • Ensure strong record keeping
  • Produce monthly income statements and balance sheet reporting
  • Track cash flows and ensure adequate amounts for granting purposes
  • Completion of GST/HST, Workplace BC and government payroll remittances
  • Prepare for auditors, a complete year end package supporting amounts in the PGCF software to ensure timely completion of annual audit
  • Track performance compared to budget and produce monthly Treasurer's report.
