Fund for Gender Equality

The Prince George Community Foundation disburses $40,000 to advance Gender Equality in our Community.  

The Foundation is pleased to announce the results of the Fund for Gender Equality for our community. 

  • Prince George Sexual Assault Centre - $ 25,000 - Needs Assessment for Specialized Trauma informed Counselling Services for people of all marginalized genders 
  • Theatre Northwest - $ 10,000 - New Play Development by a women playwright and women dramaturge 
  • Two Rivers Gallery - $ 5,000 - MakerLab Youth Immersion program 

As Canadian communities work towards a just recovery and a future grounded in gender equality, the Fund for Gender Equality will support ambitious, local projects that advance gender equality.

The Fund is part of a partnership with Community Foundations of Canada, funded through the Government of Canada. The Prince George Community Foundation is one of 21 local community foundations across Canada that are taking part. In total, these community foundations are granting $3.5 million towards the women's movement.
