How Do I Donate?
Every gift to the Prince George Community Foundation is important, regardless of size. Every gift helps enhance the services and opportunities in our community. The Foundation is grateful to receive continuing support from individuals, families, organizations, foundations, businesses and corporations.
The Prince George Community Foundation gratefully accepts the following types of gifts:
Your friends, neighbours, business associates and acquaintances are involved and support the Prince George Community Foundation for many reasons. Some have contributed to the foundation to establish a named endowment to honour their family or business . . . and to show their commitment to our community.
Others have contributed to the Foundation in memory of a special person or event in their life. The donation and endowed fund in their name will act as a legacy of their contribution to our community.
We would be pleased to discuss various options with you regarding a contribution to the Foundation. Opportunities exist for you to designate your gifts to benefit specific projects, organizations or areas of the community for which you have particular interests.Donate Now!
The Investment Readiness Program (IRP) offers funding between $10,000 to $100,000 (with the average funding size of approximately $40,000) to support social purpose organizations, which includes non-profits, charities, co-ops, and for-profit social enterprises, to advance towards or become ready for social finance investment. Learn more about the Investment Readiness Program by clicking here.
The Prince George Community Foundation, in partnership with Community Foundations of Canada and the Government of Canada, is offering IRP funding for the Cariboo, Northern BC & Haida Gwaii regions. If you are from another region, please click here, for a list of other Regional partners.
For the purpose of disbursing the IRP funds, the Prince George Community Foundation has partnered with Community Futures Fraser Fort George. Funds awarded to non-profits, for-profits and co-ops will flow through CFFFG.
IRP funding may be used to work with an expert service provider on business ideation, market research, or business planning, or activities that encourage growth and scaling impact. The IRP does not fund core operating costs.
The IRP is funded by the Government of Canada and aims to provide funding to help social purpose organizations become investment-ready. This is in preparation for a $755 million Social Finance Fund the federal government will invest over 10 years. With matching from the private sector, a total of $2 billion of investment will be available for social purpose organizations to enhance their impact and participate in the social finance market.
