Final numbers are in and Prince George Live for Ukraine, held on Saturday, May 7th, was a huge success. Thanks to our generous sponsors, donors, silent auction purchasers and those who purchased raffle tickets for helping to raise $45,500 to support families arriving in Prince George from Ukraine. These funds will directly be donated to Share Hope – Prince George to help support the work that they are doing on the ground.
“On behalf of Share Hope, we are over the moon with gratitude for the funds raised and impact they will have.” stated Eva Gillis, Chair of Share Hope. “The money raised from Saturday night’s efforts by the Prince George Community Foundation, and the participation of many, is making a huge difference in assisting Share Hope to provide a measure of relief to Ukrainians fleeing the devastation of their homeland and the horrors of war. We must continue to do whatever we can.”
Prince George Live for Ukraine was designed to not only bring the community together but show support for those citizens in it. A huge thank you to Method Dance Society, Prince George Conservatory of Music, Flora Camuzet, and Allison Bell for providing entertainment during the evening. We so appreciated you sharing your talents with our audience. Thank you to Vova Pluzhnikov for sharing your story of coming to Prince George and what this community means to you.
