PGCF Annual Grant Programs


The Prince George Community Foundation offers grants through our Annual Grant Program to charitable organizations delivering important projects that enhance the quality of life in the City of Prince George. 

 

Bigger Results

Instead of two equal funding intakes per year we will offer one larger grant cycle every fall and one smaller, more flexible grant cycle every Spring. 

Starting Fall 2024, the Community Impact Grant will have $100,000 in total funding available. It is intended for larger projects that will significantly impact our community. Applicants may apply for some or all of the total available funding with an application deadline of November 1st. During the Winter Cycle, our General Grants stream will offer organizations up to $10,000 in single or multi-year grants with a deadline of February 15th. 

By dividing our grants into two different streams and shifting our intakes away from other funder's dates, we aim to provide further strategic support for our applicants. 

New Dates

Previously, we offered two intake dates for one grant stream every year. Starting in the Fall 2024, we will offer two grant programs: one in the Fall and one in the Winter. The dates and amount available for funding has changed. 

More Flexibility 

Many organizations have requested assistance with operating funds. Going forward, in our winter grant cycle we have lifted the restriction of allocating 12.5% of funding to operating costs and increased it to 50%.

Applicants are eligible to apply for up to 50% in operational costs associated with their program/project. The funding level awarded for approved projects may vary depending on the volume of applications, the quality of proposed projects and funding available.
